Alright people, due to much demand I'm considering joining up with the Myspace crowd. However, I need you guys to explain to me why it's so cool. I don't really get the point of it.
It's not. Don't do it. Look at me -- I'm cool, and I'm not on it. :) That's really empty reasoning there, but in all seriousness, I think Myspace is kinda trashy. You won't be trashy if you join, but you'll be surrounded by trashy people, virtually. I don't really "get" it either, I think. Sure, it was intended to be a place for music online, but now people use it to connect with old friends. That's cool, I guess. But not cool enough to have to remember another username and password.
Course, I do look at people's Myspace pages sometimes. Not often, but sometimes. So I guess you could say I'm kind of a hypocrite.
Do what you want -- I'll support you in either decision you make about it. :)
i think myspace is nice for staying in touch. even indirectly... you can just hop over to someone's page and check out what's new with them. drop them a line if you feel like it...
nothing is usually too indepth. it's kinda like a way to let your friends briefly see what's going on in your life, sans details. i believe you'd be able to link this blog to it. don't quote me on that though! and if you don't want people whom you don't know looking at your page, you can set it to "private."

I've only looked at two MySpace pages ever.
Why not just post more often here? Will MySpace fill some void in your life that you don't already have an outlet for?
my friends who are far away seem to think it brings us closer. not everyone reads my blog.
